Nick Papandreou was born in Berkeley, went to high school in Canada, studied economics and political science at Yale, and earned a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton in 1986. He worked at the World Bank in the 1990s. He was written nine books of fiction and non-fiction, and the script for the movie Little Greek Godfather. His most recent book is titled The Magical Path to the Acropolis (2016). He is a regular columnist for the monthly Economic Review (in Greek) and is Director of the alternative energy, financial engineering company Monogram Oslo. He is a member of Brookings Global Leadership Council and a member of the Board of the Andreas Papandreou Foundation.
